Trip to Yosemite

After our first roadtrip moving from Chicago/ Missouri to Austin, Texas this was our first long roadtrip together. We got a rental car from San Francisco and drive all the way to Yosemite. Most of the drive included driving through empty meadows for miles and miles with very few cars around. While wandering around these parts you really start to wonder how big this world really is

After about four hours of driving, we reached the campground which had a small cabin like housing that we have rented out for few days. This RV park/ campground was very close to the Yosemite entrance which was convenient and was on the side of the main road with a river flowing next to it. This was the first time we both had the chance to stay in a place like this and while we enjoyed the benefits of this place as well as daytime, the night tended to be a bit scary for me. Anyways, we did manage to go to the Yosemite National Park the same day just to see few things and it was really magical.. There were a lot of driving uphill and downhill and it was dusk time which made everything look so orange and glimmering with tree leaves dancing with the wind. After seeing few things in the park we made our way back to the cabin as it was getting darker.
The next day we decided to explore more of the park so we went to the Yosemite Valley in the central area of the national park. We decided to do some hiking since it was the nice way to see the area. The first parts were easy and energetic, we got to see a big river flowing through the top of the mountain flowing faster than any rivers we had ever seen. The hiking started to get difficult later as we started climbing up and made us realized that we were not prepared at all for these types of hikes. Later we found out that this is one of the hardest trails around there known as Upper Yosemite Falls Trail. After that hike we decided to go to the restaurant and have some food to eat before roaming around the valley in the free shuttle that goes around the popular areas. We got to see some deers on our way and the valley looked stunningly beautiful. There’s no doubt Yosemite is one of the best national parks.
